The game isn't dead. A new surprise mission is coming!

No, the game Star Wars: Shatterpoint isn't dead.

While releases have slowed down significantly and the lack of announcements is noticeable, AMG is still working on the game.

Proof of this is the surprise arrival of a new mission estimated for December 18, 2026: “Decisive Conflict,” with the code “SWP64”.

This mission marks Star Wars: Shatterpoint's entry into the era of the Rise of the First Order and the Star Wars sequel trilogy, featuring a stunning illustration of Rey and Kylo Ren.

Rules

The new layout of the objectives and the mission rules are as follows:

Decisive Conflict Rules

9 objectives, with only 1 near each player's side.

At the start of each Unit's activation, if an objective is marked with a Priority Objective token and if the active player does not control that objective, that Unit may go All Out. If it does, resolve the All Out ability on the active Struggle Card.
During the second and third Struggles, at the start of each of their Turns, players roll one Defense Die and consult the Mission Map to mark the corresponding Active Objective token with a Priority Objective token. Then they remove all other Priority Objective tokens. When making this roll, if the indicated objective is already marked with a Priority Objective token, instead of marking that objective, the inactive player chooses any Active objective and marks it with a Priority Objective token.
A player that controls the Active objective marked with a Priority Objective token moves the Struggle token one additional space toward their Momentum tokens at the end ot their Turn.

Struggles

Here is one of the Struggle cards from this mission:

It appears that the “All Out” ability of the struggle provides both a penalty (in this case, 2 damage) and a tactical bonus (in this case, returning the unit’s order card to the deck at the end of its activation).
